Original documentary film exploring Daryll Neita’s injury, recovery and her passions outside of elite athletics

Overview

Maverick Race's Brighton Trail Marathon was their biggest event to date, bringing together a record field for a weekend of trail running on the Sussex coast. We were brought in to capture the energy of the event and develop a campaign that would build excitement for the following year's race.

Challenge

With the event already at a record scale, the challenge was to turn the energy of the weekend into momentum for the next edition. The content needed to do more than document what happened, it needed to make people want to be part of what comes next, while giving Maverick multiple opportunities to engage its audience across social.

Solution

We developed a two-minute hero film capturing the atmosphere, people and experience of the event, then built the wider campaign around eight social-first assets. Each cut-down was designed with a different engagement mechanism and purpose, allowing the story to be extended across social while creating multiple touchpoints to generate excitement for the next event.
